Prayers Needed for God’s Work in the Dominican Republic

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

Your prayers are needed this week as LCMS Missionary Danelle Putnam and Dr. Marisol Martinez meet again this week with Dominican government personnel who run their institutional orphanages for children with developmental disabilities.  The DR Lutheran Mission team has the first group home in the country ready to receive seven children with developmental disabilities.

Please pray that the government will be willing to release children who will be able to live safely with others in a home, in the community, go to school and learn basic skills.

The Lord knows which children would thrive in this new environment as they receive the nature of Jesus’ loving care.  Let’s pray that the Lord works a miracle and the government officials are cooperative, so seven of these children can be in their new home by Christmas.

Thank you for your faithful prayer and support of his work,

Rev. George and Terry Putnam
