Reformation Celebration Unites Lutherans Across the Island!

By Pastor Ted Krey

On October 31st, Lutherans from five missions throughout the Dominican Republic were united together for the first time in a special joint Reformation Service held at the church in Palmar Arriba.  Representatives were present from the mission in Las Americas (located outside the capitol), Santo Domingo, the newest mission in Licey, the mission in Santiago, and from Palmar Arriba itself.  It was exciting to gather together, in the Divine Service, and to witness how each one of us, from different towns and countries, families and homes, have been called together by faith in Jesus Christ to celebrate that we are freely forgiven and made one by His grace.  Solo por la Gracia (Grace), la Fe (Faith), y la Palabra (Word)!
