Cholera Update from Haiti

By Vicar Willy Gaspar

Through the efforts of LCMS WR-HC and Vicar Willy Gaspar, the clinics and hospitals in Plateau Central report that they now have sufficient medicines for cholera patients.  Previously, there were not even medicines for those carried miles by family members to local hospitals.  Now, through our partnership with other organizations, there are at least medicines available to treat the sickness.  Vicar Gaspar says that while hospitals are still full of patients, their overflow wards outdoors are no longer overflowing.  Predictions continue that this will continue to be a struggle for at least another year.  We continue to pray for the Haitians, Lord have mercy.
